Product of France
The history began 35 million years ago with the formation of Plateau des Domes and the collapse of the Limagne plain. Then 100,000 years ago, the Chaine des Puys, made up of 80 volcanoes, was created from magma rising up through fractures in the earth. A number of these volcanoes, including the Puy de la Nugere, erupted 13,500 years ago filling in Volvic ancient valley to create the immense natural filter we have today. Thus, Volvic Natural Mineral Water originates from the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Park. The Volvic impluvium is located in the unique geographical site of Chaîne des Puys / Limagne fault, inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage list since 2018.
