Knutwilwer is an artesian mineral water, rises independently to the surface of the spring well due to natural overpressure. The socket is at a depth of 21 meters and is protected by a 14 meter thick layer of clay. The spring well in Bad Knutwil was first mentioned in 1461, the spring was used as a so-called steel bath for drinking and bathing treatments.
