It is estimated that the beneficial effects of Solares waters have been known since the 13th century . The first written mention of medicinal waters occurs in the Ensenada Cadastre of 1753. In 1857 the first bath house was built on the Fuencaliente spring , 2 and a year later, in 1828 , its waters were declared Mineral Water of Public Utility, and bottled under the current name, being considered medicinal, were only found in pharmacies. in 1902the Gran Hotel Balneario de Solares was built. At the beginning of the 1970s, Agua de Solares reached a market share of 50% in Spain.

Solares Mineral Water has a degree of hardness of 2.1 GH and is therefore considered as Very Hard Water.
