Odenwald brand is owned by Odenwald-Quelle GmbH in Germany.

The mineral springs of the Odenwald-Quelle are located near the company premises between Heppenheim and Laudenbach. The mineral water springs independently from artesian springs at a depth of 80 to 200 meters at a pressure of two bars.The company was founded in 1931 by Hans Strauch and remained in family hands until 2000. In the same year, the company was then taken over by the Mannheim- based Actris AG of SAP co-founder Dietmar Hopp. At the turn of the year 2009/2010, the Odenwald-Quelle was sold as part of a management buyout to the former sales director Ronald Schork and the Mannheim lawyer Andreas Schmidt, formerly a partner in the Rittershaus law firm. Since January 1, 2014, Andreas Schmidt has been the sole managing partner of the traditional Heppenheim-based company Odenwald-Quelle. Ronald Schork has retired from business life for personal reasons.
