The alwa brand was born in 1972. The long-standing owner of the family business, Gerhard Rummler, created the brand name alwa from the simple term mineral water. The alwa Mineralbrunnen GmbH is now the largest mineral fountain in Baden-Württemberg and the only one with its own winery. The mineral water comes from the springs of the Stromberg-Heuchelberg nature park (Ludwigsburg district), the apples from local orchards
